What we’re about

Portland BitDevs is strictly focused on Bitcoin & the Lightning Network! With that said, this meetup is for EVERYONE of all Bitcoin knowledge levels (technical & general).

**Socratic Seminar** 1st Sunday of each month

The Socratic Seminar events are formatted to foster debate, information sharing, and lively discussion. Inspired by other Bitdevs around the country, this is an event for those interested in discussing and participating in the research and development of Bitcoin and related protocols.

We'll spend the first half of the event discussing technical components: pull requests in the Bitcoin Core, lnd, network statistics, research papers, technical blog posts, and other relevant content.

During the second half, we will have a more broad-reaching educational discussion (generally in the form of a fireside chat or presentation), followed by feedback and Q&A.

To complete the meeting, members are free to present open-source projects, companies, research, and other relevant materials.
